Yes to Tomatoes Blemish Clearing Facial Wipes

Another blemish/spot prone skin product that I've tested out and am going to give you guys a quick review on these facial wipes. I first saw this new Yes To Tomatoes range on the Asos new in section and they instantly caught my eye because they are aimed at blemish prone skin. I've tried other make up wipes from the Yes To range, and enjoyed them, so I thought it was only right that I tested these ones out too. They were also on offer when I purchased them, from Asos, as well and I think I ended up paying around £2.50 for a pack of 30 wipes.

Now I'm just going to put it out there, I hate tomatoes when it comes to food. However, these don't really smell, to me, like tomatoes which is personally a good thing. They do smell nice and refreshing though. The actual wipes feel thick and are just right on the 'wetness' front (I hate wipes that are too wet and soggy). So, I've actually now used this whole pack up therefore can give you a detailed review. I did enjoy using these and when I did use these, not every night, I simply just focused on my face make up - not my eye make up I mean by that. These are great facial wipes however, I didn't find that they really helped my current blemishes or any that might have started making an appearance unfortunately. They removed my make up really well but the main selling point, for me, just didn't work and I didn't see any results.

As I've tried other facial wipes, from the Yes To range, which I also really enjoyed - these ones were just as good. However, I was annoyed at the fact that they didn't help with my blemishes as this was the main reason why I purchased these wipes. There are other products in the Yes To Tomatoes range which I may consider testing out to see if they get to work on my blemish prone skin.

My Current Spot Saviours

Recently my skin has been playing up a lot and you guys know how difficult it is to actually pin point why it's happening, and it's probably just having a moment. A moment with a face full of spots though feels like a lifetime. For the past couple of weeks I've been getting patches of spots, especially on my chin and they're those horrible under the skin ones which are just bloody painful. Unfortunately there's not much you can do about those under the skin ones, other than to try and soothe it and get it out from under the skin somehow. These four products pictured are what I've been using, in attempt, to try and save my skin. Just look at how they colour coordinate together in these pictures, that makes me happy *loser*.

First the Garnier Pure Active Anti-Spot Exfoliating Scrub which I have been using every other day since I purchased it. I have really been enjoying this product, it's really quite invigorating but I like that as it feels as if you're really getting to work on those spots. After using this my face feels squeaky clean and ready for either the rest of my morning or evening routine, depending on when I use this product. Next the Boots Skin Clear Ultra Rapid Action Spot Gel which is a relatively new product I've been using but I always like to have a spot gel on my bedside table. I haven't tried this one before and it was on offer recently at Boots so I thought I'd give it a go. It's in a squeezy tube with a thin nozzle so it's really easy to determine how much product you get out. I wouldn't say this is my most favourite spot gel but it's not the worst. It helps soothe and calm down the redness of angry spots which I like and I make sure I apply this every evening before bed.

A slightly more expensive product I love is the Malin & Goetz 10% sulfur paste which I've had for quite some time now. It's definitely on it's last legs, as it's now quite dry, however I love this product. I use a cotton bud to apply this to those big, nasty spots before going to bed. This isn't really a day time spot get as it leaves a white residue on your face for quite sometime before sinking in. This really helps reduce the size of the spot and also helps to soothe. I like to use this product on my bigger spots and the spot gel on smaller ones. Finally Sudocrem Skin Care Cream which was previously sent to me and I have previously written about. Using Sudocrem on spots is just a cult beauty hack that everybody should know. This particular version is aimed slightly more at spots and is just a really soothing product. I either apply this and really rub it in or apply it in the evenings, but don't rub it in and let it sink in over night. Sometime I do a face mask in this product as it just generally helps your skin in several ways.

There's the four products I've been religiously using for the past few weeks to try and sort my face out! I'm going to touch wood now but I do think it is working and my skin is clearing up which is fab. Let me know your favourite cult spot saviours in the comments as I'd love to try them, if I haven't already!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss in Bare Enough

If you ever said to me the two words "lip gloss", I would of immediately switched off as they have simply never appealed to me. I've tried some in the past, however they just left my lips feeling sticky so honestly I never went back. Until recently, when I asked my sister what he favourite high street make up product was, and she replied this exact product.

So in my latest Boots online order, this product sneakily made its way into my bag. I picked the shade 'bare enough' as a nude lip is my favourite. It was on offer when I purchased it and I ended up paying £7, which I thought was really reasonable. I also love Soap & Glory as a brand, both skin care and make up. Therefore I had high hopes for this product and was super excited to try it out.

I've used this product numerous times now and I swear I love using it more and more every time. It is a lip gloss, with a slight hint of colour and a lot of shine. However, this is not just any lip gloss; it's a plumping lip gloss. Being someone who had a smaller top lip, the plumping factor really appeals to me. A short time after application, this product begins making your lips tingle, as most lip plumping products do. I know some people hate that feeling however I personally like it. It's one of those 'you know it's working' sensations and it really does plump your lips.

This product has definitely converted me into liking lip glosses and I'm definitely more open to trying out new ones. If you haven't tried this one then I 100% would recommend it. It really does plump your lips naturally, without looking stupid. The gloss factor is great as well and also looks fab over the top of a nude coloured lip stick.

It's Been a While & Exciting News

Image sourced from Google

As the title of this blog post suggests; I know it's been a really long time since I literally just sat down with my laptop and typed (since not having to write any uni work anyway). So I thought on this relatively sunny Sunday, that I would do just that. I'm not fully sure what I'm going to babble on about entirely in this post just yet but we shall see where this goes.

Since my last lifestyle post, I have finished university for good; which I must add is a great feeling. However the weekend after I finished I was a bit stumped; I felt like I needed uni work to be doing. The feeling of freedom, not having the stress to finish an essay just felt strange. I have however now got over that but have moved onto something else. I love my job and always want to do things to improve. Therefore now, with finishing my degree, I want to go on various courses to develop myself. I may sound nerdy here but I do love to learn new things, therefore my next step is to definitely either learn something new or develop a skill I already have to benefit my work. When you enjoy your job so much, the feeling you get when you do something to improve is amazing.

Moving on from finishing university, I have been out celebrating a few weekends in a row; which has been amazing. This is my first weekend, after three celebrations, that I've stayed in and am bracing myself for next weekend when there's another (final) celebration. I knew finishing university was a big thing but I didn't know how I would feel and I actually felt very emotional (please tell me this was normal!? Ha ha). Not attending weekly, seeing my friends, completing work etc felt very, very strange. So as I mentioned I'm going to fill that time with other work to improve myself, which actually makes me feel good.

Onto the exciting news part... I've kept this pretty much a secret, except a few hints here and there. But now it's getting closer to the date, my exciting news if that I've purchased my own house!!!! I didn't want anything to go wrong in the process, hence why I've kept it a secret, but now that it's pretty much (fingers crossed) all final I wanted to tell you guys. It's been such a big move for me, however it has been something I've wanted to do for a very long time. For at least 2 years now I've made it very clear that I cannot wait to move out and have a place of my own. Initially it was going to be a rented accommodation but with my savings, I've actually managed to buy my own property! I'm hoping you can gage my excitement through my words on this post, but I literally cannot wait. As much as I love being at home, having my own space and something to call my own is what I've always wanted. I'm quite an individual person who likes her own space so I think this is going to be perfect for me! I will definitely keep you updated and when I finally move it I will share pictures and all sorts. Hopefully it's not going to be much longer now before I have somewhere to call my own :-)
